Michael Finewax, Rotoworld Senior Hockey Writer/Editor: Taylor Hall. I thought he would have a huge year in Buffalo alongside Jack Eichel but he has only two goals on a horrible Sabres team.
“Are we within the window to win a Stanley Cup this year? That’s highly unlikely,” Wilson said Friday. “Are we going to compete to try and make the playoffs? Yes, we are. Are we going to commit to the reset in the younger players getting opportunities? Yes, we are.”
On March 17, he no longer was. The timing was curious: This was a lost season. Krueger is owed money this season and next, so why not just have him babysit the franchise until he's fired at the end of the year?

Certainly, all of those problems were an issue for the Bruins, and the secondary scoring has been under the microscope lately, in particular. It's easy to understand why, as The Perfection Line of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and David Pastrnak has done a bulk of the scoring for the team this year.

It's been a renaissance season for 33-year-old Jeff Petry, who was the first defenseman this season to hit 10 goals. At the halfway point, Petry led the Habs in points (25) and Montreal had a plus-20 goal differential with him on the ice.
John Carlson recorded his 500th career NHL point on Thursday with a goal against the Philadelphia Flyers in the second period. The goal was his sixth of the season.
Three of the Avalanche’s eight goals were assisted on by Devon Toews. He has four goals and 16 points in 24 games.
