The Bruins are now 3-0-0 since the trade that brought them Hall and Curtis Lazar, outscoring their opponents by a 10-3 margin. The past two games, though, have been the most impressive as they completely dominated a very good New York Islanders team that is ahead of them in the East Division standings. Boston controlled the past of both games with Hall and Lazar combining for three of the Bruins’ seven goals in the two wins. Ottawa Senators

Anthony Mantha, RW/LW, Washington Capitals: The Capitals relinquished much too much - Jakub Vrana, Richard Panik, 2021 first-round pick, 2021 second-round pick - to tuck the former Red Wing forward away in their bottom-six. A slot alongside center Nicklas Backstrom, and post on the power play, should reap immediate scoring dividends for the struggling power forward. Mantha has not only seen a big drop-off in his scoring numbers this season, but in shots and attempted shots as well. He isn't hitting as much either. Clambering up the standings from dead-last in the Central to top spot in the East should do the imposing skater a world of good. Still available in nearly half of ESPN.com leagues, Mantha should be scooped up in all but the shallowest of competition. (Victoria Matiash) Calgary Flames

Moving Panik’s deal, and a player who wasn’t going to work in Washington, had more long-term benefit than just this season.

Marleau, drafted second by San Jose in 1997, ranked 23rd in career goals (566) before San Jose faced Minnesota on Friday. He also ranked 50th in points, with 1,196. He has persisted through aches and pains, bumps and bruises, through doubts during his first training camp and the perennial disappointment of never lifting the Stanley Cup. He has adapted to changes brought on by age and by prevailing NHL trends, remaining a steady and positive force as he evolved into a leader and a mentor to young players.

In three postseasons with the Golden Knights, Fleury is 19-12 with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Florida Panthers
