If it’s any consolation, season 3 of Succession is shaping up to be a thrilling return to the Roy family drama. Between Kendall’s recent betrayal, his budding bromance with fan-favorite Cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun) and the latest casting news, the drama will be ramping up to an exciting new level. New additions include Adrian Brody, Alexander Skarsgård, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, and Korean singer Jihae. All in all, the show’s capable cast and brilliantly-penned first two seasons promise an ending to remember.

Accompanying Bane is his trusty droid, Todo 360, voiced by Seth Green. Todo was instrumental in helping Bane break into the Jedi Temple. It’s an odd pairing, the most serious bounty hunter in the galaxy side by side with one of the most adorably silly and disconcerted droids, but it works very well, especially thanks to the personality Green brings to the role.
But of course, while you have the married couple played by real-life spouses Ball and Desi Arnasz in I Love Lucy, you’ve got Fran Fine trying to seduce an obviously queer-coded British man in The Nanny. Okay, I kid on that last part, but The Nanny‘s entire ensemble just screams queer icons and LGBTQ family unit — at least, if it were to be made today. That’s probably the part I like the least about The Nanny: the lack of heated romantic chemistry between Drescher and Charles Shaughnessy’s Maxwell Sheffield. But the romance isn’t why people come to The Nanny. It’s to see Fran Fine prance around in her great miniskirts, while executing the most hilarious pratfalls.
“Look, we’re 20 years in. For the self-awareness, I felt like it was appropriate … to be able to have the character articulate that. Personally, I love it. We wanted to acknowledge that for the first time. To say, ‘Hey, let’s be very conscious of it.’ Twenty years in, this is the time to let the audience know, ‘Hey, you guys have definitely been a part of this.’”
We learned a lot about Omega’s origins in this episode and the largest revelation is that she’s a pure genetic copy of Jango Fett. Codenamed Omega, there is only one other clone like her: Boba Fett. This makes Boba Fett her brother, and we learn that his codename was Alpha before he became known as Boba. She has pure Jango Fett DNA, which makes her valuable to the Kaminoans if they want to create more clones from Jango’s template.
Make of that what you will, readers! I wish I had more info for you, but I don’t! The limited series will premiere the first two of its seven episodes on Thursday, July 15, exclusively on FX on Hulu.
