The 14 days was hard on players coming to Canada as not only did they have to isolate for the two weeks but it ruined the conditioning of the player’s (see Pierre-Luc Dubois). This will allow trades between Canadian and American teams to have a chance this season and while it didn’t matter for players going from Canada to the United States, it sure mattered going the other way.
"I didn't think he had a lot of work in the first two periods," Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault said Saturday morning. "In the third period there, it wasn't easy. Their first shot found the back of the net. Obviously a team that's behind like that will be coming at you in waves and they were trying. I thought we were continuing to try to play the right way and they were able to get a couple of goals there to tie it up. But we found a way on a big faceoff in the offensive zone by [Claude Giroux's] line to win the game. I do think that Carter is trending and we're going to need him to find his game, and he's working at it."
Joe Pavelski, DAL vs. TAM ($26): Pavelski has helped carry Dallas' offense, as he has 28 points in 28 games. That does come on 21.2 percent shooting though, a rate which is perhaps not going to be sustained. The Lightning have a 2.32 GAA as a team, which is impressive, but some poor starts from backup Curtis McElhinney is the only reason that number isn't even better. Andrei Vasilevskiy has an 1.86 GAA and .933 save percentage.

Wayne Simmonds, F, Toronto Maple Leafs: Currently getting the chance to play with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner at both even strength and on the power play, Simmonds ranks just behind Donskoi with 6.67 FPP60. Averaging only 11:28 per game, Simmonds will end up getting more than that if he can hang onto the spot on the top line.
